Team and API Keys
Team (cliqer.io/dash/team) is where you manage the people who share your Cliqer plan. The Team item only shows in the dashboard menu when your plan has more than one device seat, or seats shared across a team. See Dashboard overview.
Create a team
If you are not in a team yet, the page says You are not part of a team yet. Type a Team name and click Create team. You become the team's Owner.
- Confirm your email address first. If it is not confirmed, Cliqer shows Confirm your email to create a team with a Confirm email button.
- A team on its own does not give you seats. Seats still come from a team licence or plan. See Pricing.
- The page text for people without a team also mentions redeeming a team licence, but the page has no redeem button. If you were sent a team licence key, contact support.
Invite a member
- Click Invite member at the top right. The button only shows if your role lets you manage members.
- Enter their Email. They must already have a Cliqer account.
- Choose their Role, member or admin.
- Click Send invite. Cliqer confirms with Invitation sent.
The person joins only after they accept. Until then they appear in the list with a Pending badge. For a pending invitation you can click the send icon to Resend invitation, or the remove icon (Withdraw invitation) to cancel it.
Accept or decline an invitation
If someone invites you, the Team page shows "the team name invited you to join" with Accept and Decline buttons. Nothing changes until you accept. Joining a team needs a confirmed email address; if yours is not confirmed, Cliqer sends you to enter the code first.
Roles
The list shows each person under Member, with their Role. Every team has these roles:
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything. The owner cannot be changed or removed here |
| admin | Manage members, branding and security |
| member | Use Cliqer. No team management |
- Change a person's role from the drop-down next to their name (if you are allowed to manage members).
- Click the remove icon (Remove member) to take someone out of the team. You cannot remove yourself or the owner.
- API keys and custom domains are owner only by default. Enterprise teams can create custom roles that grant them. See Team Roles (RBAC).
Single sign-on, SCIM provisioning and custom roles are on the Security page, on the Enterprise plan. See SSO FAQ and SCIM FAQ. Your own hostname for rooms is on the Custom domains page. See Custom Domains.
Team licences and members
A licence can belong to a team instead of one person.
- What members see. My Licences lists only the licences registered to your own account, so a team member does not see the team's licence keys there, and cannot use Manage devices on them from the website.
- What members can use. Once you have accepted the invitation and are an active member, signing in to the Cliqer app with your account (email, Google or biometric) can take a seat from the team's active licences, with no key to paste. A pending invitation does not give access.
- Which licence is used. Your own licences are used first, then the team's, highest plan first. Each licence has its own seats: two 5-seat team licences seat ten computers, five on each. They are not pooled.
- Full licence. If the licence is full, the app says All seats for your licence are in use. Sign out on another device first. Press the app's release button, or sign out on another computer. Team members can free other devices from the app, as the owner can.
API keys
API keys (cliqer.io/dash/team/api-keys) creates long-lived keys for server-to-server integrations. The page is for teams on the Studio and Enterprise plans, and keys belong to a team.
Create a key
- Click Create key (shown if your role allows managing API keys).
- Enter a Name that will help you recognise the key later, for example
CI pipeline. - Click Create key. Cliqer shows Copy your API key.
- Copy the key and store it safely. This is the only time the full key is shown. If you lose it, revoke it and create a new one.
- Click Done.
Use a key
Send the key as Authorization: Bearer cliqer_... on any documented endpoint. See API authentication.
Revoke a key
The table lists each key with its Name, the start of the Key, Created, Last used and Status (Active or Revoked). Click Revoke to disable a key immediately.
Billing, Invoices and Renewals
Change or cancel a subscription, update your card, download invoices, set billing details and renew software updates on a perpetual key.
Hosts and Orchestrator
See which computers are using your licences, and link hosts running in different rooms from the live Orchestrator map.
