Virtual Sets

Put your talent in a 3D studio. Pick a set, key each person into a slot, fill the set's screens, move the camera live and give each person an Enter and an Exit. Studio and Enterprise, on Mac and on Windows.

A virtual set is one input that draws a 3D studio around your talent. Each person stands in a slot of the set, cut out from their camera by a chroma key or by segmentation. The set's screens show Program or any input, and a virtual camera moves between shots.

Virtual sets are on the Studio and Enterprise plans. A set is one input, so it also needs a free input under your plan's source limit. See Plans and limits.

Add a virtual set

The first time you pick a set, Cliqer downloads it (about 4 MB, so you need internet once). The set shows its progress, then stays on this computer for good.

Choose Add Input > Virtual set and pick a set. The new input is named Virtual set 1 (then 2, 3 and so on). Select it, and the inspector shows the Virtual Set section.

Talent

  • Talent 1, Talent 2 and so on pick the input that stands in each slot. Key the input first, with a chroma key or segmentation, so only the person shows. See Inputs.
  • Each person has an Enter and an Exit: a transition, a DVE move, or none, which cuts. Give each a length.

The rows Talent N enter and Talent N exit each have an effect and a duration slider.

Screens

Each Screen N of the set shows Empty, Program or one of your inputs.

Camera

  • The camera has presets: Wide, Close 1 (one per talent), Left and Right.
  • Move time is how long the camera takes to move to a new preset: 1500 ms at first, from 0 to 10000 ms. 0 cuts. Every move eases in and out.

The set follows Preview then Take:

  • Live camera (the set is on Program) moves the camera on air.
  • Preview camera picks the shot for the next Take. When the set is not on Program, the camera cuts to it at once.
  • Any other set edit made while the set is on Program waits on Preview and goes to Program on the next Take.

Effects

Shadow, Reflection, Depth of field and Light wrap each have an on switch, a Strength and a Reset.

Inputs

Add Input, chroma key and segmentation for your talent.

Transitions

Preview then Take, and the transitions an Enter or Exit uses.
