Settings and Sign-in

Change your name, avatar, password, two-step sign-in, biometric sign-in and notifications, and learn how signing in works on the website and in the app.

Settings (cliqer.io/dash/settings) has five tabs: General, Appearance, Branding, Notifications and Security. You can also open it from your name at the bottom of the dashboard menu, under Profile.

General

  • Name: your display name across Cliqer.
  • Email: the address you sign in with. The field is greyed out and cannot be edited in Settings, because a new address has to be re-verified. To change it, contact support. Your Billing email is separate: it only sets where invoices go, not how you sign in.
  • Avatar: click Choose to upload a JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP image, up to 5MB.
  • Billing details and Tax IDs: what is printed on your invoices. See Billing, invoices and renewals.

Click Save changes to save your name and billing details.

Appearance

Theme sets your personal look: System, Light or Dark. Click Save changes.

Branding

Branding applies your colours and logo to the host and presenter views. The tab links to Open branding in Room Designer. Brand colour themes need the Ultra plan or above, and removing or replacing the Cliqer marks (whitelabel) needs Studio or above. See Room Designer.

Notifications

Each switch saves as soon as you change it.

Security

Change your password

Enter your Current password and a New password of at least 8 characters, different from the old one, then click Update.

If you forgot your password, click Forgot password? on the sign-in page, enter your email or username and click Send reset link. Open the email and choose a new password (at least 8 characters). If the link has expired, the page offers Request a new link.

Two-factor authentication

Under Two-factor authentication, Email authentication emails you a one-time 6-digit code each time you sign in.

  1. Click Enable. Cliqer emails you a code.
  2. Enter the 6-digit code and click Verify and enable. Use Resend code if it has not arrived.
  3. To turn it off, click Disable.

When it is on, signing in on the website asks for Two-factor verification: enter the 6-digit code. Resend email code sends a new one, and Use a different account goes back to the start. The Cliqer app asks for the same code when you sign in with email.

Authenticator apps

Settings, Security offers email codes only. There is no switch there, or in the Cliqer app, to set up an authenticator app (TOTP). If an authenticator is already set on your account, the website asks Two-factor verification and says to enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app, and the Cliqer app asks for the same code. Resend email code only shows when the account uses email codes. If you cannot set up or remove an authenticator, contact support.

The same Email authentication switch is in the Cliqer app under Settings, Security & Privacy, when you are signed in with an account.

Biometric sign-in

Biometric sign-in uses a passkey: Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, your phone or a security key.

Add one. Open Settings, Security. Under Biometric sign-in, click Add biometric sign-in and follow your browser's prompt. Cliqer confirms with Passkey added. If your browser cannot do passkeys, the card says This browser does not support biometric sign-in.

Remove one. Each passkey is listed with the date you added it. Click the bin icon next to it. Cliqer confirms with Passkey removed.

Sign in on the website. On cliqer.io/login click Sign in with biometrics.

Sign in in the Cliqer app. On the sign-in screen click Biometric. The app says Complete biometric sign-in in your browser. (Cancel sign-in stops it). Your browser opens a page with Sign in with biometrics: only continue if you started this from Cliqer. After your passkey is verified, click Open Cliqer to finish. If your browser cannot do passkeys, the page shows Passkeys unavailable and asks you to open it in a browser that supports them, such as Safari, Chrome or Edge.

No passkey yet? On that same browser page click Set up biometric sign-in, sign in to your account if asked (Sign in to set up), then click Add biometric sign-in. You can also add one from the website as above. In the app, Settings, Security & Privacy, Biometric sign-in, Manage passkeys opens the website Security page in your browser.

Delete your account

Delete account is at the bottom of the Security tab. Cancel any active subscription first, because deletion is refused while one is active. You confirm by typing DELETE, then Delete my account. See Delete your account for what is kept afterwards.

How you can sign in

On the website (cliqer.io/login):

  • Your email or username and Password. Tick Remember me to stay signed in.
  • Sign in with biometrics, if you added it and your browser supports it.
  • Continue with a single sign-on provider, if your organisation has set one up. See SSO FAQ.
  • No account yet? Click Sign up.

In the Cliqer app:

  • Licence key: paste the key and click Log in.
  • Or continue with email: sign in with your email or username and password, or create an account.
  • Biometric: completes a passkey sign-in in your browser.
  • Google: signs in with your Google account.

On the Free plan you sign in with your account and need no licence key. Hosting on a Free account needs a confirmed email address, so the app asks for a 6-digit code emailed to you.
