Discord

Present slides in a Discord voice channel or call with Cliqer, Go Live carries the deck while your phone advances it.

Discord is where communities run workshops, study groups, guild briefings and internal team sessions, and where the presenter is usually stuck alt-tabbing between the deck and the chat. Cliqer separates those jobs: the Cliqer app runs your presentation on your computer, Discord's Go Live carries the picture into the voice channel, and your phone or tablet advances the slides.

Cliqer is not a Discord bot and adds nothing to your server. There is nothing for moderators to approve and nothing for listeners to install.

Share the Application, Not the Desktop: Pick the presentation from the Applications tab rather than sharing a whole monitor. Discord then captures only that window, which keeps your desktop and notifications out of the stream and lets Discord pick up the application's own audio.

Setup and Usage

  1. Start Cliqer on your computer and open the presenter link on your phone or tablet.
  2. Open your presentation and start the slideshow.
  3. In Discord, join the voice channel or call you are presenting to.
  4. Click the Screen icon in the voice controls at the bottom left of the Discord window.
  5. Choose the Applications tab and select your presentation, or use the Screens tab to share a whole monitor.
  6. Set the stream quality, then click Go Live.
  7. Advance the slides from the presenter link for the rest of the session, then stop the stream from the same voice controls when you are done.
Use the Desktop App: Present from the Discord desktop application. The browser client's screen sharing is more limited and does not expose the stream quality controls. Go Live also carries up to 50 concurrent viewers, and switching to a different voice channel ends your stream.
Turn On Streamer Mode: In User Settings, Streamer Mode, enable Streamer Mode before you present. Disable Notifications and Disable Sounds stop Discord's own popups and message dings interrupting the session, and Hide Personal Information keeps your email, connected accounts and tags off the shared screen.
Stream Quality: Free accounts stream up to 720p at 30fps, which is fine for slides but soft for dense tables or small type. Nitro tiers raise this to 1080p or source resolution. If the text has to be readable, size it up in the deck rather than relying on the stream.
