Keyboard Shortcuts

Every default shortcut in Cliqer v3 for macOS and Windows, including the Studio keys for Preview, Program, transitions, overlays, Record and Stream, plus the Timeline editor keys.

This page lists the shortcuts the current builds have. The two platforms differ:

  • macOS has a full menu bar. The Studio keys come from your active configuration in External Control, so you can change them.
  • Windows has a menu bar in the title bar of the Windows layout and of the Studio window. The Classic panel has one Menu button that holds the same menus. Control, Studio, Layer and Timeline appear only while you are signed in. Each item shows its key at the right edge. The Studio keys come from your active configuration in External Control too, so you can change them there. Ctrl takes the place of Command, and Alt the place of Option. Quick Play is a plain Space and Cut a plain Enter, as on the Mac. Neither fires while you type in a field or while a dialog, menu or flyout is open, and a button that has focus never fires in their place.
Single keys in Studio (digits, B, M) pause while you type in a search or rename box, so typing a name never switches an input. On Windows every key without Ctrl or Alt, Space and Enter included, also waits while a number box, a list, a menu, a flyout or a dialog has the keyboard.

Studio keys (default configuration)

These are the keys of the built-in Default configuration. They work when the Studio window has focus. Your own configuration can change any of them, and the Studio menu and tooltips then show your keys.
