For presenters

Present from the phone you already carry

Join any Cliqer room by code, QR code or link, and your phone or iPad becomes the remote, the confidence monitor and the pointer. Browser presenters work too; the app simply gives you bigger controls and a full screen view.
A presenter speaking beside a large projected bar chart
Big Back and Next
Two large tiles you can hit without looking. Turn the device sideways and the shared screen fills it, with Back on the left half and Next on the right.
Notes beside the video
Your notes for the current slide sit under the shared screen. Turn the device sideways and they sit beside the video, at a width you choose. The host countdown changes colour as time runs short.
The shared screen in your hand
Watch what the host is sharing, live. With several hosts in the room, pick the screen you want to see.
Laser pointer
Touch the shared screen and a laser dot appears for everyone in the room, in your own colour and labelled with your name.
Chat with the host
Message the host from inside the room. You can report any message, and block the host messages for a room on your device.
Call in on camera
When the host invites you, join the call with your camera and microphone. Both stay off until you tap Join.
Ink studio

Draw on the slide, your way

Tap Draw, pick a colour, a brush and a width, and mark up the shared screen for the whole room. The host has to allow drawing.
Eight colours
Your own pointer colour, Cliqer green, deep teal, white, black, red, yellow and blue.
Four brushes, three widths
Pen, highlighter, marker and a fading pen that disappears about three seconds after you lift your finger. Each one comes in thin, medium and thick.
Shapes that snap
Hold still for half a second at the end of a stroke and it snaps to a straight line, an arrow, a rectangle or an ellipse.
Undo and clear
Undo removes your own last stroke. Clear drawing wipes the ink from that screen.
For AV crews

The remote for whoever runs the room

Control the host turns a phone or iPad into a remote for the host. Pair a device by scanning the QR code on the computer, then run the presenters, the timer, Studio and the host settings from wherever you are standing in the venue.

Pair a device
Open Pair a device on the computer, then scan the QR code with the app or type the 10 characters under it. No sign-in and no approval step. One computer pairs up to 10 devices, and you remove any of them on the computer.
Share a screen and NDI
Pick which screen of the computer the room sees, and start or stop the share. Send the program and the timer out as NDI.
Run the timer
Start, pause and reset the countdown, add or take away minutes, or tap one of the timer presets set on the host computer.
Manage presenters
Turn a presenter clicking on or off, remove or block someone, and approve a new Bluetooth clicker.
Studio and callers
Stage inputs on preview, cut or fade to program, choose which inputs go to the room and to NDI, and see who is calling in and whether their camera and microphone are on. Studio needs a plan with callers.
DSAN PerfectCue and Limitimer
See whether a PerfectCue or a Limitimer is connected to the computer, the last PerfectCue cue, and whether the Limitimer drives the Cliqer timer or follows it.
Apple Watch and Wear OS

Move slides from your wrist

The Apple Watch app comes with Cliqer Remote for iPhone, and the Wear OS app comes with the Android listing. Both turn your wrist into a slide clicker.
A big Next, a small Back
Next fills the screen. Back is a smaller button in the bottom-left corner. Each tap flashes the screen and gives you a small tap on the wrist.
Slide number and timer
See which slide the host is on and the room countdown, without taking your phone out.
Linked to your phone
Join the room on your phone and the watch follows it, taking no presenter place of its own. Keep Cliqer Remote open on the phone, for example face up on the lectern. If it leaves the room, the watch says Open Cliqer Remote on your phone.
Or on its own, with a room code
Type or dictate the room code on the watch and join with no phone at all. Then the watch is a presenter in the room and takes a presenter place, which the Free plan limits to one. There is nothing to sign in to.

Apple Watch needs watchOS 27 or later. Wear OS needs version 3 or later. A watch shows the slide number and the timer; laser, drawing and notes stay on the phone.

Why native

Built for the phone, not squeezed into a tab

Browser presenters still work. The app is the better remote because it can use what the phone has.

No browser for the phone
Open the app and join. There is no tab to find, keep open or lose, and the screen stays awake while you present.
The native camera scans the QR code
Point the camera inside the app at the room QR code, or at the pairing code on the host computer, and you are in.
Face ID and biometrics guard the host remote
Control the host asks for Face ID, Touch ID, your fingerprint or your screen lock, and keeps its device key in the secure storage of the phone.
Watches, built in
The Apple Watch and Wear OS apps come with the phone listings, and every tap on Next gives a small tap on your wrist.
A small downloadThe size of each app, drawn to one scale. A device downloads less than the figure shown, because each store trims the app to that device.

Cliqer Remote questions, answered

Is Cliqer Remote free?
Yes. The app is free to install, and joining a room from it needs no account. How many people a room allows depends on the host plan: a room on the Free plan allows one connected presenter, and paid plans lift that. Studio and caller features need a plan with callers, from Pro up.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad on iOS 26 or later, and Android phones and tablets on Android 8 or later. On Android, Control the host needs Android 11 or later. The Apple Watch app needs watchOS 27 or later and the Wear OS app needs Wear OS 3 or later.
Can I control my computer from an iPhone or iPad?
Yes. Control the host works the same on iPhone, iPad and Android. Pair a device with the QR code on the computer, then run the presenters, the timer, the room link, Studio and the host settings from it.
How do I pair a device with my computer?
On the computer, click the device icon in the main window (or open Remote control in Settings). On the phone or iPad, open Cliqer Remote, tap Control the host, then scan the QR code or type the 10 characters under it. There is no sign-in and nothing to approve on the computer. The device only asks you to confirm it is you with its biometrics or screen lock. The code lasts 60 seconds and works once. A computer pairs up to 10 devices, and you remove any of them from the Paired devices list on the computer.
What can I draw with?
Eight colours, and a pen, a highlighter, a marker and a fading pen in three widths. Hold still at the end of a stroke to snap it to a line, arrow, rectangle or ellipse. Undo removes your own last stroke and Clear drawing wipes the ink from that screen. The host has to allow drawing.
Can I use my watch as a clicker?
Yes, with the Apple Watch app or the Wear OS app, in two ways. Linked to your phone, the watch follows the room your phone is in and takes no presenter place. On its own, you type or dictate the room code on the watch and it joins as a presenter, with no phone needed. Either way you tap Next and Back on your wrist, and the watch shows the slide number and the timer. It has no laser, drawing or notes.
Do presenters have to install the app?
No. Anyone can still join a room from the browser they already have. The app is the better remote if you present often: bigger controls, a full screen view and no tab to lose.
Does it work in other languages?
The app is in English for now.
