Settings

Every pane and every setting in Cliqer v3 on macOS and Windows, with exact labels, defaults and what each one does.

Settings has seven panes on macOS and Windows: General, Presenters, Video, Audio, Show, Control and Advanced. Most panes split into tabs, and the tabs are the same on both systems. Changes apply at once. There is no OK button.

The sections below follow the panes and tabs. Each table lists the settings in the order the tab shows them, and the Where column says which system has the row.

Open Cliqer > Settings... (Command-comma), or the Settings (cog) button in the Classic Panel. The panes are in the toolbar and a pane with more than one tab shows its tabs as a row above the settings. The window remembers the last pane and the last tab of each pane.

Find a setting

Type in the Search box (macOS: in the Settings toolbar. Windows: at the top of the left pane). It matches setting names and related words, in English or Spanish. Each result shows the setting and where it lives, for example "General > App". Choose a result and Settings opens that pane and tab, scrolls the row into view and lights it for a moment. With no match it says "No results".

Search ignores accents and shows only the settings of the app you are in. Names that start with your words come first, then names with a word that starts with them, then related words and tab names, then close matches.

Every setting shows a short line under its name that says what it does.

Where the two systems use different words, both are given: "macOS: X. Windows: Y".

The rows sit in groups. Window holds Always on top, Keep above slideshows and Hide Cliqer from screen sharing, and on Windows also Main window. Startup holds Launch at login or Start with Windows, and Notifications. On macOS, Appearance holds App theme, Glass, Language and Main window.

On macOS the tint over the glass comes from your team's branding on cliqer.io: under Desktop background you set a colour and an opacity for the dark theme and for the light theme.

On Windows, Window design changes the look of every window:

The Troubleshooting list

Advanced > Troubleshoot holds the Troubleshooting list. It restarts one part that wedges mid show. The footer reads "Restart prepares one part again while the show runs. Program and every other part stay as they are."

Rows sit in four sections, and a section with no rows is left out:

SectionRowsButton
AudioAudio Device: Running with the sample rate (for example "48 kHz"), or OffRestart
InputsOne row per input that can be restarted. Health is Playing, Paused, Stopped, Loaded, Loading, Live, Connecting, Waiting, Retrying, Open, Not Open or Failed.Reload for a web input, Restart for the rest
OutputsOne row per stream destination: Off, Starting, Live, Reconnecting or Failed, with the reason under itReconnect while the destination is on
ConnectionRoom Link: Online, Connecting or Offline. Live Captions: Off, Starting, Running or Unavailable with the reason.Reconnect for the room link, Restart for captions (not while Off or Unavailable)

A dot shows the health: green when fine, amber when working or at risk, red when failed, grey when off. An input or output that is fine but losing frames reads Dropping, with " frames dropped since Statistics opened." Cliqer counts frames while this pane is showing, so you do not need the Statistics window open.

Restart acts on that one part only. Program and every other part keep running. The notice that follows reads " started again.", or "Audio started again." for the audio device. Each button can be mapped like any other, see External Control.

Reveal Logs shows the log file in Finder on macOS and in Explorer on Windows.
